Constellations

Daria Cygal Productions

Constellations is a two-hander play written by British Playwright Nick Payne. Premiered on January 19th, 2012 at The Royal Court Theatre, it has won many awards including the Best New Play 2012 Evening Standard Award, Best New Play 2015 Olivier Award, and the 2022 Olivier Award for the Best

One relationship. Infinite possibilities. Constellations is a play about free will and friendship; it is about the quantum multiverse theory, love and honey. Jars and jars of honey. And bin bags. Roland is a beekeeper, Marianne a quantum physicist. What are their odds against it all to fall in love? With infinite moments and choices that can change the course of life, it is anyone's guess how cosmic collision is possible. The questions of will they, or won't they? This play lingers on the question of "what if" and presents a perfect picture of "what could be".
