Pyaar Ya Poison

Masla Masala presents a solo theatre performance: Pyaar Ya Poison. blending comedy, Hinglish dialogue, and Bollywood-inspired storytelling to explore life within a South Asian household. The piece follows a girl in her creative youth navigating career expectations, cultural identity, and the everyday chaos of family life—where privacy is rare and opinions are never short. Through humour, sharp observations, and moments of reflection, she finds herself caught between two ways of living: one that questions, and one that simply accepts.

As the performance unfolds, playful skits and symbolic imagery blur the line between past and present, revealing contrasts in how different generations approach ambition, communication, and love. Balancing light-hearted comedy with emotional depth, Masla Masala invites audiences to recognise the familiar within the specific, and consider whether understanding is always necessary in the relationships that shape us.
