If I Stop Turning, Will You Find Me?
Meraki Theatre
If I Stop Turning Will You Find Me is a movement-led performance that explores grief, memory, and the fragile process of return. After her father passes away, a young woman travels to his lighthouse and finds herself in a place that feels both familiar and far away. Under the guidance of an ongoing diary-letter, memory and imagination blend together, causing her ideas to fall apart in pieces. Her attempt to manage grief and cling to what is disappearing is portrayed through movement. The lighthouse, which was once a source of guidance but is now empty, serves as both a beacon and an emptiness. As she progresses through it, the play explores how we find ourselves following a loss and whether connection is still possible in the places where a person formerly lived.
